Best Curry Restaurant in Tooting

I have a friend over from Australia in a few weeks and he'd love a "proper" curry.

I know that Tooting is meant to be one of the best places in the UK for curries but I have no idea where to go.

Ideally we'd go somewhere that will allow us to chat properly over a slightly longer meal, and this has confused me even more, as I know that some places are more cafe style so I wasn't sure if that meant you couldn't stay too long?

Lastly, we do like a drink so happy to bring our own and pay corkage, or also happy to buy on the premises but I also know some places don't have an alcohol licence.

I'm pretty sure that my question also lacks some context as I think that different regional cuisines and that might be important in terms of Bangladesh or Goa or Nepal, but we're really not that sophisticated, just want a tasty curry and a chat over a beer.

Went to Tooting with mates last year just for curry and ended up finding a small place with big flavours and a relaxed vibe where we could actually talk for hours. They had a decent beer list, so no corkage stress. The food was rich, slightly spicy, and felt proper home-style.
